Aliana is enrolled in Northern Arizona University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and plans to become a Licensed Associate Counselor, with an expected completion date of summer 2025. Starting in September 2024, she will be seeing clients for a reduced fee as part of her training. As a counselor-in-training, Aliana will support clients ages 14+ by providing empathetic and evidence-based counseling services under the supervision of licensed clinicians. She is also a certified Safe and Sound Protocol provider. Aliana is dedicated to helping clients navigate their mental health challenges, and work towards their personal goals. Aliana is accepting referrals for clients seeking help with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, identity and values exploration, communication skills, low self-esteem, and stress management.
Aliana graduated in May of 2019 with a B.S. in Care, Health, and Society and a minor in Psychology. She has worked as a Behavioral Health Technician with teen and adult clients recovering from eating disorders, substance use, trauma, and sexual abuse. In 2021, Aliana worked onsite as a Camp Inclusion Interventionist at a UC Berkeley Youth Program, and in 2022, Aliana worked as the Inclusion and Intervention Coordinator at the same program. As an Interventionist, Aliana supported youth through behavioral challenges that were presented during camp, and as a Coordinator, Aliana directly facilitated communications between parents, the Intervention Team, leadership, and camp counselors. She developed, assessed, and modified action plans to support campers and ensured the Intervention Team collaborated on and skillfully executed the action plans.
